Plant biochemistry and metabolism

Description of Research

I am interested in how plants synthesize and metabolize nutrients essential for human health. By combining molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics approaches, my lab aims at furthering the understanding of thiamin (vitamin B1) and folate (vitamin B9) metabolisms in order to develop new strategies to boost those essential nutrients in crops.
