Department of Botany and Plant Pathology

Undergraduate Botany and Plant Pathology Club

The Undergraduate Botany and Plant Pathology is a good way for students to become involved in their major Department early on in their time at OSU when many of their courses are not in Botany. The club is led by botany undergraduates, and the officers in 2007-2008 are:

President: Morgan Curtis

Secretary: Megan Lamb

Under Secretary: Bridge Chipman

Sponsor: Pat Muir

Meetings take place twice a month, to organize field trips, fund raisers and social events. Currently there are plans for trips to the McDonald Forest, Japanese Gardens in Portland, and the Oregon Garden at Silverton. Fundraising throughout the year, including bake, book and cup sales, goes towards a more adventurous Spring Break Trip (e.g. southern Oregon river valleys, Malheur Field Station, northern California Redwoods, and Death Valley, CA). The department provides partial support for most club trips.
